Thin-spiration

I put together a detailed scrapbook of people who inspire me to be healthier with their pictrues and stories of how they did it. And after I made it, I decided I wanted to nap and hang with the dogs instead of going for my run... but knew how pathetic I was so I posted this on fb and got a lot of responses. I mean, wtf? It is 4 days in and I already want to give up? COME ON!

The one with the red arrow did it though (thanks Kyle!). I immediately got off the couch and went to the gym where I went .06 miles slower in 20 minutes because my calves hurt. But I did it. I hated it the whole time. I am so incredibly weak. I wanted to give up about 987239478 times but I didn't. I DID IT.

I have had a few people personal message me about how this is inspiring them to do their own happiness projects which makes me feel great. The other thing that struck me is that people are actually reading this thing. Not a HUGE number but the fact that ANYONE takes time out of their day to read that motivates me to want to succeed. You can't trade the moments in your life. Once they are spent, they are gone and someone actually trades in their time for me. So I will try not to let you down. Thank you!

  1. The 5K running goal is a great one. It's a physical goal over a weight loss goal which gets quicker results. Losing weight can sometimes take a while but you will see yourself run further way before you see the scale move.

Just keep running, run slowly, run so slow you are walking but don't stop. Once you get that runners high, you won't want to quit.

Also, for every ten pounds you lose you can run about 30 seconds/mile faster. So if you run a 12 min. mile, losing ten l0 lbs will get you to 11:30 min mile without exerting any extra effort. Just a fun fact

    Keep up the hard work!!!
