I took my "which love language are you" quiz here and I am a tie between words of affirmation and acts of service with quality time in a close third.
I could care less about physical touch (it's not that kind of
touch) or receiving gifts. I am not into "things". Ask anyone. The acts
of service threw me for a loop but I haven't finished the book yet so
maybe that's why. Scott is REALLY good at running errands and/or
cleaning the house. He's a machine.
Scott's are:
So both of us like words of affirmation the most. His next highest is Physical touch followed closely by quality time and acts of service. He also could care less about receiving gifts.
So basically, even though physical touch means nothing to me, I need to make an effort to touch him more. I knew that going in. He loves when he's driving and I reach over and stroke the back of his head or when i give him a good back scratch/massage. But I need to do those things more. And praise him for all of the wonderful things he does and it's a long list - everything from trying to quit smoking to doing the trash every single week.
