As I begin sorting through old things in the basement I have been learning a lot. Specifically, I think some of the things I like/do are genetics. My grandpa took 98273487 pictures which for his time period isn't really something that was normally done. He also had a huge passion for traveling. I've found many pictures of places he went that I have also gone like the Grand Canyon. He also loved to write as do I.
My great-grandfather, Max, moved to the USA in the 1900s, that we always knew but turns out he ran away from Germany with the maid who was my great-grandmother, Mary, so he had 3 other kids in Germany. She wanted to have girls so badly that she dressed her boys up like girls. That is a story my dad told me. They eventually had four kids, and one was a girl. He invented the dialing system for the telephone and died from appendicitis.
They had my grandpa, Arthur (above right baby), who married my grandma, Barbara. My grandpa was a mechanic in WWII which might be how we have all those foreign bills. he flew all around the world and was on flights with the USO guys like Bobe Hope. He also collected a lot of rocks. He died in 2001 from Alzheimer's. My grandma died in 1978 from breast cancer.
They had my dad who was born with skin on his face missing.
They visited the Senate & the House and one of the passes was signed by Ted Kennedy.
Ugh I'm tired - that's all for today.
